Republican Scientific and Practical Conference Held at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research
On 22 June 2026, the Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research hosted the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference entitled "Integration of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Modern Chemical Research Methods: Innovations, Technologies, and Practical Approaches."
The conference was organized by the Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research and brought together professors, researchers, academic staff, doctoral students, and students from higher education institutions and research organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of leading foreign universities.
Among the participating institutions were the Institute of Science and Technology of China, Kursk State Medical University, the National University of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State Medical University, Fergana Public Health Medical Institute, Bukhara State Medical Institute, the Institute of Polymer Chemistry and Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the S.Yu. Yunusov Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, and the Institute of Fundamental and Applied Research under the National Research University "TIIAME."
The conference aimed to enhance the effectiveness of scientific research in pharmaceutical chemistry by integrating modern analytical, physicochemical, and biochemical methods into pharmaceutical research, promoting innovative technologies for the development of new medicinal products, and facilitating the practical implementation of research findings through scientific collaboration and experience sharing.
The conference covered the following key scientific areas:
- Inorganic chemistry, coordination chemistry, and the synthesis of pharmaceuticals based on inorganic compounds;
- Analytical chemistry and modern methods for pharmaceutical analysis;
- Organic and bioorganic chemistry, including pharmaceuticals derived from natural compounds;
- Physical chemistry, colloid chemistry, polymer chemistry, and plasma chemistry.
The event was held in a hybrid format, combining both in-person and online participation. During the thematic sessions, 20 scientific presentations were delivered by researchers from Uzbekistan and abroad.
Following the review by the editorial board, 111 abstracts submitted by domestic and international authors were recommended for publication.
The opening ceremony featured welcoming remarks by Professor A.F. Dusmatov, Rector of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, and Associate Professor O.A. Yeletskaya of Kursk State Medical University.
Throughout the conference, participants introduced the latest research methodologies and laboratory capabilities of their institutions and discussed opportunities for expanding international cooperation and implementing joint research projects.
At the conclusion of the conference, the participants adopted the following recommendations:
- strengthen the integration of scientific research with industrial practice;
- improve the effectiveness of research conducted by scientists, master's students, and undergraduate students, focusing on priority scientific areas;
- encourage active participation in competitions for fundamental, applied, and innovative research projects;
- support the publication of research findings in reputable scientific journals and promote the patenting of intellectual property.
The conference served as an important platform for strengthening scientific collaboration, discussing current challenges in pharmaceutical chemistry, and promoting the practical implementation of innovative scientific achievements.
