Students’ Achievements — The Brightest Reflection of the Institute’s Prestige

June 10, 2026

The reputation of any higher education institution is ultimately defined by the achievements of its students. Although the Pharmaceutical Education and Research Institute was established only five years ago, our students have already demonstrated remarkable success by making the most of the Institute’s modern educational environment, outstanding academic staff, and extensive research opportunities.
A vivid example of this success is the II International Academic Olympiad in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacognosy, held on May 21, 2026, in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, among third- to fifth-year pharmacy students.
The Olympiad was organized within the framework of the international ANAMED Forum and dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the School of Pharmacy of S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University.
Its primary objective was to inspire students' interest in pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy, encourage academic excellence, identify talented and competitive future specialists, develop professional thinking, and broaden participants' expertise in their field.
The competition brought together 14 teams representing leading pharmaceutical faculties from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the Russian Federation. Among the participants were S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, Kazakhstan-Russian Medical University, Astana Medical University, Bolashaq Academy, Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute, the Pharmaceutical Education and Research Institute, Alfraganus University, Andijan State Medical Institute, Bashkir State Medical University, and several other prestigious institutions.
We are proud to announce that the Pharmaceutical Education and Research Institute won First Place in this highly competitive international Olympiad.
This remarkable achievement belongs to the following students:
Abdurashid Yusufjonov
Ulugkhoja Nosirov
Sitora Odilova
Khojiakbar Juraev
Shohjahon Muminboev
Their outstanding performance reflects not only their profound theoretical knowledge and professional competence but also their passion for scientific research and continuous self-improvement.
Notably, this was not their first international triumph.
Earlier, on November 27–28, 2025, our students also secured First Place at an international academic Olympiad hosted by the South Kazakhstan Medical Academy. The competition was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Professor Bayan Sagindikova, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Asia and the Azerbaijan Branch of the International Academy of Sciences.
Furthermore, on December 5–6, 2025, ten students from our Institute participated in the VII International Medical Olympiad "Samarkand-2020", organized by Samarkand State Medical University.
Among them, Nuriddin Mamajanov and Ma'rufjon Dilmurodov won First Place, while Sevara Pashshakulova was awarded Third Place.
Participation in such prestigious international competitions provides young specialists with invaluable opportunities to exchange experience, demonstrate their professional competence, and become familiar with the latest developments in pharmaceutical science. These experiences contribute significantly to preparing highly qualified and globally competitive professionals.
Alongside their success in international Olympiads, our students continue to distinguish themselves in national scientific and innovation competitions, further demonstrating the Institute's growing intellectual potential.
One notable example is the annual "Mirzo Ulugbek Vorislari" ("Heirs of Mirzo Ulugbek") Republican Competition, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the 2025–2026 academic year, 30 students from the Institute presented their innovative scientific projects in the district stage of the competition. Of these, 16 students advanced to the regional stage, while 9 students successfully qualified for the national finals.
Most impressively, two of our talented students were recognized among the Top 100 Most Gifted Young People of Uzbekistan.
They are:
Zulfiya Mamarasulova, a first-year Pharmacy student, who presented the innovative project "QR-APTEKA."
Scientific Supervisor: Mavjuda Nabiyevna Ziyoyeva.
Aziz Eshnazarov, a first-year General Medicine student, who presented the research project "A Medicinal Agent for the Treatment of Benign Skin Tumors."
Scientific Supervisor: Kamola Ramazonovna Ramazanova, PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
These accomplishments clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of the Institute's systematic efforts to support student research, encourage innovation, and nurture talented young scientists.
Today, students of the Pharmaceutical Education and Research Institute continue to achieve outstanding success in international Olympiads, earn prestigious awards in national competitions, and contribute innovative ideas that support the country's scientific and technological development.
These achievements confirm that the Institute has become not only a center of higher education but also a thriving academic and research institution where gifted students, future scientists, and highly qualified professionals are trained.
Every success achieved by our students reflects the dedication of the Institute's academic community, the professionalism and mentorship of our faculty members, and the broad opportunities created for young people in Uzbekistan.
Each victory is not merely an award—it is another confident step toward even greater accomplishments in the future.
