Participation of students of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in international internships is an important step towards academic mobility
The Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research places particular emphasis on student internships abroad, studying the experience of developed countries, and strengthening their knowledge and skills in an international academic environment.
Academic mobility is an important factor in providing students with new knowledge and practical skills, as well as establishing effective cooperation between regions and educational institutions, and ensuring socio-cultural rapprochement. Through such programs, young specialists broaden their horizons, develop the ability to think independently, express their opinions freely, and freely operate in different environments.
To this end, on September 15 of this year, 2nd-3rd year students of our institute in the direction of “Medical Work” under the guidance of Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Medical Biology, Gofurov Nemat Nozirovich, arrived at the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of academic mobility and had the opportunity to undergo a week of internship.
The student acceptance ceremony was organized at a high level. They were solemnly welcomed by the Dean of the ShOM-1 Faculty Izmaylova S.Kh., Deputy Dean Tagirova R.T., and Associate Professors of the Chemistry Department Karlova E.K. and Begimova G.U. Such a warm welcome played a positive role in the rapid adaptation of the students to the new environment.
Acquaintance with the medical institution began with the activities of the university history museum.
During the excursion, the head of the museum - maxillofacial surgeon, former head of the dentistry department B.F. Amantaev gave students detailed information about the establishment of the university (1930), the tragic fate of its founder S.D. Asfendiyarov (1889–1938) (he was repressed and shot as an "enemy of the people" in 1938).
The next destination - the Department of Clinical Anatomy!
Our students got acquainted with the auditoriums, residents' room and modern equipment of this department.
The head of the department, esteemed professor K.B. Abdykerimova introduced them to the educational process, internship opportunities and modern approaches to the science of anatomy.
During the internship in Kazakhstan, our students also traveled to the famous Medeo mountain area in the lap of nature.
The amazing views of the Medeo Mountains, the fresh air and the purity of the environment left a great impression on our travelers.
The team of the Histology Department of the S.J. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University also warmly welcomed our students.
Our students got acquainted with the educational and scientific activities of the department, its auditoriums and modern laboratory equipment.
During the acquaintance, the head of the department, Professor M.J. Yergazina, informed the students about the importance of science, educational processes and upcoming practical classes.
Our students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the “Normal Physiology” Department of the S.J. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University.
Professor of the department Nurmagambetova M.O. gave our students detailed information about the history, main areas and educational and scientific processes of the department.
As part of the practical training, students of the Pharmaceutical Educational and Research Institute got acquainted with the Department of “Normal Anatomy” of the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.J. Asfendiyarov, founded in 1930.
During the visit, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor T.S. Dosaev gave students detailed information about the history, scientific and educational and practical activities of the department.
Professor T.S. Dosaev also gave a scientific and inspiring lecture on the topic “Undiscovered Aspects of the Science of Anatomy”. This lecture further increased the interest of students in science.
During the internship, they also visited the Scientific Research Institute of Internal Diseases and Cardiology, one of the main clinical bases of the university.
At the end of the internship, the dean of the 1st General Medical School of the University presented our students with certificates. This was an important step in recognizing the results of the internship and wishing them success in their future professional activities.
The active participation of students of the Pharmaceutical Education and Research Institute in international internships serves to equip them with modern knowledge, increase their interest in scientific research, and further strengthen international cooperation.
